Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao on Wednesday demanded that an apology from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who holds the home portfolio, for “foisting false cases” on agitating UoH students.
In a statement, Harish Rao said Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announcing that the cases will be withdrawn is an admission that the cases filed were false and it was wrong on part of the police to do so.
“Revanth Reddy, who is also the home minister, must tender an apology to UoH students. And apparently, Congress party’s state in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan told Vikramarka to withdraw the cases and he agreed. This also clearly shows that Revanth Reddy has become a nobody in the Congress,” Harish Rao said.
