Elon Musk’s eldest child, Vivian Jenna Wilson, said that she was terrified of losing healthcare access, while slamming her father’s controversial gesture resembling a Nazi salute.
“As a trans woman, I am terrified of losing access to guaranteed medical care. If I didn’t medically transition at the age I did, I don’t know what would’ve happened,” the 20-year-old said in an interview with Teen Vogue.
Wilson publicly criticised Musk, claiming he “definitely [did] a Nazi salute” at two rallies in January, and adding that he is part of a White House that’s “cartoonishly evil.”
She expressed fear over restrictions on trans healthcare, particularly under Trump, who has signed orders banning transgender people from the military and women’s sports.
Wilson also termed Musk’s actions in the United States’ federal government as “cringe.”
Wilson first made headlines last year after Musk claimed on a podcast that he had been “tricked” into signing documents allowing her to receive gender-affirming care as a minor.
“I lost my son, essentially. They call it ‘deadnaming’ for a reason,” Musk said. “The reason they call it ‘deadnaming’ is because your son is dead.” He added that the experience led him to vow “to destroy the woke mind virus.”

In a 2023 interview with NBC News, Wilson said Musk was largely absent from her life and often cruel when she expressed feminine traits. She legally changed her last name in 2022, stating she wanted no connection to him.
“He was cold,” she told NBC. “He’s very quick to anger. He is uncaring and narcissistic.”
Wilson, now a student in Tokyo, said she feels obligated to speak out on trans issues, particularly access to puberty blockers for minors.
“There’s so much villainisation of that,” she said. “Maybe stop demonising these literal children or the people around these children who are just trying to help them feel comfortable in their own skin,” Wilson added.

Despite Musk’s wealth and political influence, Wilson said he has little impact on her life.
“People thrive off of fear. I’m not giving anyone that space in my mind,” she said. “The only thing that gets to live free in my mind are drag queens.”
